Hi,
Considering a move to Westchester County? How can you really know if a community feels like home until you’ve spent time exploring it? If you’re considering Chappaqua and want to see what it’s like with kids in tow, here’s a full-day itinerary filled with local favorites.
Morning:
Start the day at Bobo’s Café, located at the Chappaqua train station. The kids can enjoy a smoothie bowl while you sip an iced latte. Then head over to Gedney Park to burn off some energy at the playgrounds, trails, and pond. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, check out World Cup Gymnastics for open indoor play.
Midday:
Join story time at Scattered Books, where kids love visiting Meatball the bunny. For lunch, stop by Le Jardin Du Roi — a cozy, family-friendly spot with a relaxed French bistro feel. Afterward, get hands-on at Make Inspires, where kids can dive into STEM activities, 3D printing, and art projects.
Afternoon:
Browse toys, clothes, and accessories at Hip Kid, then check out one of the local playgrounds like Robert E. Bell Middle School or New Castle Playground. Stop by the Chappaqua Library for an event or program before wrapping up the day with a sweet treat at Frannie’s Goodie Shop — endless toppings are always a hit!
If you’re around on a weekend, don’t miss the Chappaqua Farmers Market, which is more than just a place to shop — it’s a true community hub. And for arts and culture, check the calendar at the Chappaqua Arts Center.
Exploring a community firsthand is one of the best ways to decide where you want to live. Ready to explore everything Chappaqua has to offer? I’d love to help you navigate. Reach out today to get the conversation started.
